Poker Tournament Definitions:

A poker tournament allows all players to start with a predefined amount of tournament chips. After being assigned to tables, each player will receive a card, the player which obtains the highest card will begin the tournament with the dealer button.
The goal is to win as much chips as possible from other players and to eliminate them. Players are eliminated when they run out of chips (except in Re Buy Tournaments) In order to make sure the tournament progresses, the blinds are increased in a pre defined pace by a pre defined rate.

Poker Tournament Buy in & Payouts

Entrance to a tournament is obtained through a buy in fee and an entrance fee. The buy in goes to the tournament prize pool and the entrance fee is kept by the house.
Poker tournaments have a predefined payout percentage which determines which percentage of the prize pool each place will receive. In multi table tournaments the payout may be announced during tournament after summarizing the buy ins. In re buy & add on tournaments final payout will be announced after re buys and add on are done.

Poker Tournament Variations:

Multi Table Tournaments (MTT):

Multi table tournaments begin at a pre announced time and date. In order to participate in a multi table tournament one must pre register in the tournament lobby, the latest registration can be found in the lobby.

Sit and Go Tournaments (S&G’s):
